We have already discussed the topic of EleCylinders; now we will look at the 7 practical benefits of using ROBO Cylinders

Multi-Point Positioning
ROBO Cylinders can reach a big number of different positions, with a repeatability of up to ±0.005 mm.

Here we can see a good number of applications that require multiple positions:
Push & Hold
The pushing force can be easily adjusted by simply changing values in the program to maintain a constant value.
This function can be used for both pressing and holding.
As can be seen, the ROBO Cylinder can quickly move the rod just before the target and push it slowly if necessary.
In the following video, you can observe an application where there is a considerable improvement in cycle time compared to a pneumatic actuator for placing caps on bottles.
Speed Control (Constant, Variable)
ROBO Cylinders can change the movement speed at any point during the stroke.
The speed can be constant or variable.

In the following video, you can see how speed control during the stroke for bottle filling results in a reduced cycle time, increasing production.
Acceleration Control (Independent Accel/Decel)
The acceleration and deceleration can be independently configured on ROBO Cylinders.

Here we can see a practical example of adjusting acceleration, where the cycle time is decreased, and the number of damaged pieces is reduced to zero.
Zones
ROBO Cylinders can activate an output when they are within a specific range, without the need for external sensors.

Next, we can see a practical example of this function, where an output is activated to trigger the corresponding printing:
Pause
Unlike air cylinders, ROBO Cylinders can stop at any point in their stroke and resume movement.
Here is a practical application:
Pitch (Incremental) Moves
This function allows for repetitive movements in a simple manner, saving I/Os and many lines of programming.

This type of movement is completely impossible for any pneumatic actuator.

Next, we can see a practical example:
Additional Advantages
REDUCTION IN ELECTRICAL CONSUMPTION.
LONGER LIFESPAN
Instead of an impact mechanism at the end of the stroke, ROBO Cylinders, like Elecylinders, incorporate a screw mechanism with a nut that includes tiny metal balls (the assembly is called a 'Ballscrew') which minimizes wear.
This translates to a lifespan five times greater than that of air actuators.
